REI has a generous return policy that allows customers to return their purchases within one year from the date of purchase, except for outdoor electronics which has a 90-day return policy. Customers are allowed to return the purchased products if they are not satisfied with them, or if they have any defects. The returned products must be in their original condition and packaging.
REI also offers a satisfaction guarantee, where customers can exchange or return their products at any time if they are dissatisfied with them. Products with manufacturing defects can be returned at no cost, and customers can choose to have them either replaced or refunded.
REI does not accept returns or exchanges on items that have been used improperly or abused, or those that have been damaged due to normal wear and tear. They also do not accept returns on final sale or clearance items.
To initiate a return or exchange, customers can either visit an REI store or mail it back to their return center. REI provides a pre-paid shipping label for items returned via mail.
